Spread the love - Love Knot Ring!

Image of LOVE KNOT
LOVE KNOT - $88.00 USD

I wear one of these Guenevere Rodriguez Love Knot rings at all times! And get complimented on it at all times!

I ran into Guenevere Rodriguez along Prince and Mulberry streets years ago and instantly fell in love with her style and philosophy.

In her own words:

I Prayed for a Ring to come thru Me and this is what I got, The Love Knot Ring. I make them with Intentions to Open Your Heart to draw Love to You, from Yourself and Others.

It's the perfect bridesmaid gift. Purchase them in advance and be sure to wear it around for a few days before gifting it. By doing this you will transfer your love and energy to whomever you gift it upon! It's a beautiful ring and sentiment!

Get it here:  Guenevere Rodriguez website

or

you can find her at the Prince Street Market

CeciStyle: Birthday Party Ideas

In celebration of Ms. Ceci's birthday, she asked top planners for their favorite FRESH birthday party ideas to be featured in CeciStyle.

CHARITY
I suggested that people organize an event doing a day of work for your favorite charity. Sad but true, but the "donation in lieu of a gift" request to your friends hardly materializes much. Whenever we check with the organization to see how much has been donated it's almost embarrassing to ask!

BORROW THIS IDEA for your next birthday party! Use your birthday powers for good and get your friends involved with your favorite cause!

If you're in New York, here's a site that can help you find some volunteer opportunities:

Here's a sample of the kind of opportunities you can find:

Paint and Sort at PS 208 M
Manhattan :: Central Harlem
Saturday, 2/11/2012
10:00 AM - 2:00 PM

Revitalize a local school so they can start the year right. Volunteers will sketch murals designed by students on the stairwell doors with a projector, in addition to sorting and organizing closet spaces. Artistic and creative types are welcome to sign up.

"Hide and Seek" by Imogen Heap

I love this song because her voice sounds like a church organ to me. Perfect for that Catholic boy and girl who are not having a church wedding but want to have some nod to their upbringing.

The lyrics aren't the best for a wedding but it's kind of hard to make out what she's saying anyway!

Lyrics:

where are we?
what the heck is going on?
the dust has only just begun to form
crop circles in the carpet
sinking feeling

spin me round again
and rub my eyes,
this can't be happening
when busy streets a mess with people
would stop to hold their heads heavy

hide and seek
trains and sewing machines
all those years
they were here first

oily marks appear on walls
where pleasure moments hung before the takeover,
the sweeping insensitivity of this still life

hide and seek
trains and sewing machines (oh, you won't catch me around here)
blood and tears (hearts)
they were here first

Mmmm whatcha say,
Mmm that you only meant well?
well of course you did
Mmmm whatcha say,
Mmmm that it's all for the best?
of course it is
Mmmm whatcha say?
Mmmm that it's just what we need
you decided this
oooh whatcha say?
Mmmm what did'cha say?

random notes keep falling out your mouth
mid-sweet talk, newspaper word cut outs
speak no feeling no I don't believe you
you don't care a bit,
you don't care a bit

(hide and seek)
random notes keep falling out your mouth
mid-sweet talk, newspaper word cut outs

(hide and seek)
speak no feeling no i don't believe you
you don't care a bit,
you don't care a (you don't care a) bit

(hide and seek)
oh no, you don't care a bit
oh no, you don't care a bit

(hide and seek)
oh no, you don't care a bit
you don't care a bit
you don't care a bit
